Beam scales for commercial warehouses

At commercial warehouses, food, agricultural and industrial enterprises where they deal with long, heavy, large-sized goods or containers, rail scales are often used. This is a multipurpose type of scales that almost any material can be weighed on, limited only to the permissible weight and dimensions.

Design and features of the rail scales

Structurally, the beam scales are represented by two independent rails with sensors mounted. Depending on the parameters of the cargo to be weighed, the rails (beams) can be placed at any distance from each other, however no more than 7 m. The result of the measurement is displayed onto a weight indicator, while the error of indications, depending on the load weight, does not exceed one discrete.

Rail scales can be used in rooms of high level of humidity and pollution. For this purpose, scales are completely made of stainless steel and equipped with load cells with increased level of protection from dust, jets and splashes of water (IP68) and other undesirable influences.

The weight indicator can be standardly placed horizontally or fixed onto a vertical surface. Placing on a stand is optional (to be supplied additionally). The distance from the scales to the beams is standard 5m, but it can be lengthened or shortened as agreed with the Customer. The display itself is equipped with LED indication enabling use of the device even under low light.

Scale rails are made of black metal (in Budget, Practical or Standard version) covered with powder paint in order to prevent the corrosion development on their surface. Depending on the features and conditions of use, there are different models of such scales.

Most models of beam scales are equipped with an integrated port (RS232C) or optionally RS485, Ethernet, WIFI intended for scales to connect computer, printer, scanner, dispenser control relay..., which ultimately allows saving and analyzing measurement results.
