The data collection terminal is based on the basic Cipher 8000 model, but unlike it has a laser reader, a Li-ion battery, an interface stand (also included) is also a charger. In other respects, according to the characteristics, operation and software, the terminal is similar to the Cipher 8000 model. The terminal has a light, compact and ergonomic body that, combined with its low temperature resistance, gives it high mobility and convenience in daily use. To exchange data between the terminal and the PC, communication stands are used, which are connected to the PC COM port. The terminal communicates with the stand via the infrared channel. In case of difficulties with connecting the stand to a PC (for example, when working with laptops, PDAs, other mobile information processing devices), data can be exchanged directly between the terminal and the infrared transmitter of the PC. This solution allowed to increase the operational characteristics of the terminal due to the refusal to use detachable connections. High functionality, the ability to download client applications and large amounts of memory make the Cipher CPT-8001 LASER suitable for almost all warehouse accounting tasks.
