The data collection terminal is based on the Cipher 8000 base model, but unlike it, the Li-Ion battery is included, the interface stand (also included) is also a charger. In other respects, according to the characteristics, operation and software, the terminal is similar to the Cipher 8000 model. The data collection terminal has a light, compact and ergonomic body, which, combined with resistance to low temperatures, gives it high mobility and convenience in everyday use. The use of the Long Range CCD sensor in the construction of the scanning element allowed increasing the range of reading the barcode and achieving a high scanning speed. To exchange data between the terminal and the PC, communication stands are used, which are connected to the COM port of the PC. The terminal communicates with the stand via the infrared channel. In the case of difficulties with connecting the stand to a PC (for example, when working with laptops, PDAs, other mobile devices for processing information), data can be exchanged directly between the terminal and the infrared transmitter and receiver of the PC. This solution allowed to increase the operational characteristics of the terminal due to the refusal to use detachable connections. High functionality, the ability to download client applications and large amounts of memory make the Cipher CPT-8001 CCD suitable for almost all warehouse accounting tasks.
