Adapter PEN-01

Adapter PEN-01 for data recording on a USB memory device.

The device PEN-01 is designed to record on external storage devices with USB-connector (in particular, on "flash drives" - USB-devices FLASH memory) data received from measuring and control devices through the RS-232C interface in codes of text characters ASCII.
Records on the USB-drive are carried out in text-format files, which after connection of the USB-drive to the computer can be revised by computer programs such as "text editor".

Technical description of the device

The device PEN-01 can work with file systems FAT12 / FAT16 / FAT32.

Powering the device

Power supply of the device PEN-01 is carried out by direct current (up to 100 mA) with a voltage of 12V. Power is supplied to the device from an external power supply or, optionally, from the interface of the RS-232C interface, the ME-01 AXIS weighing processor (in the standard version, the power supply voltage to the RS-232C connector is not output).

Configuring device settings

The PEN-01 device is configured using the text file "config.txt", which must be located on the USB drive in the main file root directory. If, after connecting the USB drive, the device does not see the configuration file in the root directory, it creates it with the "default" settings.
